Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture offers a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) Program designed to build well rounded store leaders through in-store operational training, Thrive rotations, and live events with the goal of placing you into a permanent Store Manager role.

The SMT program emphasizes hands-on learning, in-person events, and cross-location exposure to prepare you for future store leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; three (3) years experience in practical supervisory retail and/or sales.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License and must be able to travel overnight.
• Ability to manage store operations and perform in multiple locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Completes all Farmers Academy training, Thrive rotations, and live training events.
• Assists in day to day store operations including sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, bookkeeping, and general office functions.
• Operates and demonstrates proficiency in the Company’s point of sale systems and operational tools.
• May be required to work in multiple store locations to meet training needs.
