Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture offers a Store Manager Trainee (SMT) Program designed to develop well-rounded store leaders through in-store training, online learning, and live events. Trainees support daily store operations, learn POS systems, handle sales and account approvals, and may work across multiple locations during training.

Successful completion leads to eligibility for placement into a permanent Store Manager role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of practical supervisory retail and/or sales experience preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License and be able to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily store operations including sales, credit, collections, warehouse, delivery, bookkeeping, and general office functions.
• Operates and demonstrates proficiency with point of sale systems and operational tools.
• Sells merchandise, processes payments, and assists with account approvals.
• May manage a store location in the Store Manager’s absence and travel to other training locations.
