Job summary

Kroger Co. in Wisconsin is seeking a Store Operations leader to assist the store manager in delivering an outstanding customer experience and driving store performance across departments.

You will help plan, execute merchandising and operating initiatives, communicate with associates, and support budget and labor targets while fostering inclusive leadership. You will mentor and develop department leaders, collaborate with union representatives where applicable, and advocate for community

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience as department manager, service manager, or in an equivalent role.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing associates including supervisors and future leaders.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics and data insights to identify opportunities and support decisions.
• Proven ability to collaborate across departments and drive store performance.
• Proven success driving customer experience, sales growth and operational excellence.
• Experience managing competing priorities while leading teams through change.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager and associates in delivering a favorable customer shopping experience and develop associates' interest in customer service.
• Lead teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Collaborate on action plans/communications to associates based on Associate Insight survey results.
• Identify store opportunities with department heads and implement timely solutions.
• Model and drive highest levels of customer service and address issues promptly.
• Oversee total store operations in the store manager’s absence.
• Assist in achieving weekly, period and annual sales and profit budgets and safety goals.
• Work with department managers to maximize sales and reduce shrink.
