Job summary

Kroger is seeking an experienced store leader to manage day-to-day store operations in Gallatin, TN. You will train and develop associates, coach through formal and informal interactions, and model Kroger’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities include leading merchandising initiatives, collaborating with leadership to meet sales and profit targets, managing staffing and costs daily, and maintaining compliance with laws and company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience and satisfactory performance appraisals as an assistant store leader or in another position at the same pay level or above.
• Experience overseeing financial responsibilities, including budget preparation and management.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams in planning and executing merchandising and operation initiatives to keep the store customer ready.
• Work with department leaders to identify opportunities and create action plans.
• Achieve weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets and targets.
• Drive cost-effective sales by optimizing labor and shrink, and maximize department contribution.
• Communicate financial performance and budgets to leadership teams.
• Build relationships with community organizations and, if applicable, union officials under a CBA.
• Provide timely feedback and manage staffing, retention and turnover.
