Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store Director in Michigan to lead retail operations and drive exceptional customer experiences. You will guide the store team to deliver results, maintain standards, and uphold leadership expectations while ensuring financial stability.

You will mentor leaders, manage staffing, and partner with the community to strengthen the Meijer brand and achieve growth in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• Minimum 3 years of retail leadership with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh experience preferred.
• Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue.
• Ability to receive and maintain licenses required for the store’s operations.
• Position may require lifting, carrying, and other physical acts.

Responsibilities

• Maximize sales and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout store operations.
• Mentor and coach all team members and leaders to ensure goals are met and exceeded.
• Ensure the store is properly staffed with well-trained team members and develop existing staff.
• Work to maintain corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures for a safe environment.
• Be a strong community partner by cultivating relationships in the local community.
