Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store Director to lead all store operations and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will drive sales, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure financial performance while upholding Meijer’s leadership expectations.

You will mentor leaders, develop team members, and ensure proper staffing, safety, and regulatory compliance. Strong community partnerships will strengthen the Meijer brand and customer trust.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders.
• 3 years of retail leadership experience with General Merchandise and Grocery/Fresh.
• Experience in leading retail or service operation with $40 million minimum in annual sales revenue.
• Position may require lifting, carrying, and other physical acts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total operation of the store to maximize financial success.
• Provide remarkable customer service and maintain all operational and merchandising standards.
• Develop and mentor team members and leaders to meet goals and drive performance.
• Staffing and training to ensure well‑trained team members and safe, compliant operations.
• Cultivate relationships in the local community to support the Meijer brand.
