Job summary

Meijer, a family-owned retailer in the United States, is seeking a Store Director to lead operations and deliver the best possible shopping experience. You will oversee total store operations, drive financial performance, and mentor leaders to meet productivity and service goals.

You will ensure staffing, safety, and merchandising standards while building strong ties with the local community and upholding our leadership values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail experience.
• 5 years of retail/service industry experience.
• 3 years of leadership experience including management of leaders with direct reports.
• 3+ years in retail leadership with GM and Grocery/Fresh preferred.
• Experience leading retail or service operations with substantial annual sales.

Responsibilities

• Oversee total operation of the store to maximize financial success.
• Lead the unit in alignment with leadership expectations and core values.
• Provide remarkable customer service and maintain merchandising standards.
• Develop a team that consistently meets productivity and customer service goals.
• Maintain corporate, safety, and regulatory procedures for a safe workplace.
• Cultivate community relationships to support the Meijer brand.
