Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Michigan is seeking an experienced Store Director to oversee all aspects of the store's day-to-day operations and lead a diverse team to deliver exceptional customer service.

You will develop staffing plans, set performance expectations, coach leaders, and implement strategies to enhance sales, profitability, and community engagement while upholding Meijer brand values. In this role you will forecast staffing needs, manage end-to-end merchandising, and partner with the community

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where all team members and vendors feel valued and supported.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall operations across food and general merchandise areas.
• Manages store performance, planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps.
• Develops and executes staffing plans to meet forecasted needs and recruits for talent.
• Leads performance management and development of leaders and team members.
• Drives customer service excellence, store profitability, and community engagement.
