Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps for solutions.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure store is staffed and opened/closed at least twice weekly.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify sales, profitability, turns and expenses.
• Order to meet in-stock targets; review ordering plan and inventory management.
• Facilitate efficient staging, stocking and storage of merchandise.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage meet standards.
• Maintain inventory levels by controlling damages, markdowns and cashier procedures.
• Provide superior customer service leadership.
• Keep a clean, safe and well-organized store.
• Follow SOPs and complete paperwork on time.
