Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Watertown, SD seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. This role will lead the team during the Manager’s absence and on opposing shifts.

You’ll coach staff, assist in hiring, ensure efficient processing of transfers and orders, and uphold policy compliance. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and the company offers a strong promote-from-within culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the showroom and ensure staff execute programs like Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot.
• Assist the store manager in hiring, scheduling interviews, and evaluating candidates to hire qualified team members.
• Manage telephone handling per company policy and ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, hub, and transfers.
• Ensure returns, warranties, and invoicing are processed efficiently and correctly, and that security procedures are followed.
