Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise flows, and help lead and train store associates while maintaining a positive, safe environment for customers and staff. Role requires strong communication and problem solving, plus the ability to manage responsibilities such as opening/closing procedures, loss prevention, and compliance with safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, process damaged merchandise, and handle record keeping and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized; protect company assets including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
