Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, champion customer service, and develop a team. You will assist with opening/closing, supervise associates, manage merchandising and safety, and help control payroll and inventory processes.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, prior store management experience in retail or grocery, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
