Job summary

Dollar Tree in Sterling, VA seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and participate in opening and closing procedures.

You will process corporate directives, maintain fixtures, assist in ordering and loss prevention, supervise and train associates, and uphold a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store activities communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
