Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to oversee all store operations, staffing, training, and daily execution. You will lead a team, ensure compliance with policies and safety standards, and maintain inventory integrity while driving sales and customer service excellence.

The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage opening/closing procedures and staff performance in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be preferred at certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct evaluations; counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events for safety and policies.
• Open and close the store regularly and maintain staffing coverage.
• Evaluate store performance, sales, profitability, and inventory variances.
• Manage stock levels and ordering to meet in-stock targets.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage follow standards.
