Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Able to lead and develop staff while ensuring staffing coverage.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory control.
• Skilled in training, coaching and evaluating employees.
• Familiar with safety, security and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; address gaps.
• Make recommendations on pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings.
• Open and close the store; ensure daily readiness and security.
• Review operating statements to identify trends, profitability and shrink.
• Manage stock: ordering, replenishment and cycle counts.
• Ensure merchandise presentation, pricing and signage compliance.
