Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Kentucky to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and ensure excellent customer service. You will hire, train, and supervise staff while upholding company policies and federal/state labor laws.

The role requires strong leadership and accountability to meet in-store targets and safety standards. Responsibilities include staffing, training, performance evaluations, cash handling, inventory management, and adherence to cash control procedures as well

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret wage and policy documents.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit controls.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to policies and laws; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct performance evaluations, identify gaps and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Recommend pay rates and advancement opportunities; communicate expectations and conduct safety meetings.
• Oversee daily store opening/closing and ensure proper staffing and customer service leadership.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends and control expenses; manage inventory and shrink.
