Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager in Kentucky to oversee all store operations, staffing, and customer service. You will supervise employees, control inventory, and ensure policies and safety procedures are followed while meeting sales goals.

Responsibilities include opening/closing the store, training staff, conducting evaluations, and maintaining a secure, well-organized shopping environment. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all store employees, planning and implementing store processes such as ordering, receiving, stocking, presentation, selling, staffing and support.
• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Train staff, conduct evaluations, address gaps, and counsel up to termination when needed.
• Set pay rate recommendations and promotion paths; communicate performance expectations.
• Open and close the store consistently, maintain security and daily operations.
• Monitor sales, profitability, and inventory; manage stock levels and replenish as needed.
• Ensure accurate pricing, signage, merchandising, and product presentation.
