Job summary

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets diagrams, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Performs basic Math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling, and termination practices incl. legal compliance.
• Familiar with cash, facility and safety control policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage store employees, including staffing, training and evaluations.
• Provide training and performance counseling; implement disciplinary actions when needed.
• Contribute to compensation decisions and career advancement.
• Communicate performance expectations; conduct meetings to reinforce safety and policies.
• Open and close the store reliably each day.
• Monitor sales and inventory trends; review ordering and stock levels weekly.
• Oversee stocking, merchandising, pricing and signage.
• Maintain cashier accountability and cash controls; ensure security practices.
• Deliver excellent customer service leadership and build a safe, organized store environment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and documentation deadlines.
