Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role will lead the team during the manager’s absence and on opposing shifts, driving excellent customer service for retail and professional customers.

You will help set team goals, mentor staff, assist in recruiting, and ensure efficient processing of orders, transfers, returns, and invoicing while maintaining policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification required.
• Certified Parts Professional Certification and ASE Certification desired.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom, ensuring team adherence to service programs.
• Help ensure staffing of the sales counter during peak hours and coordinate with the store manager on staffing and goals.
• Assist in hiring processes including recruiting tasks and interviewing candidates.
• Ensure timely processing of buy online/ship to store, hub, and DC add orders and notify customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Oversee returns and exchanges, refunds, and proper merchandising and inventory processes.
• Confirm all merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store and ensure compliance with company policies.
