Job summary

The Children’s Place in Peoria, IL, is seeking a Store Lead to support the Store Leadership Team by handling cash-wrap operations, opening and closing procedures, and acting as Leader on Duty (LOD). The role represents the brand, engages customers, and maintains store standards.

You will develop talent through coaching, partner with the Store Manager on performance, provide timely feedback, and motivate associates to deliver exceptional customer service while driving store profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years retail experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing talent through training of associates and coaching.
• Partner with Store Manager to address performance concerns.
• Support and participate in company training initiatives.
• Foster a positive work environment and provide timely feedback.
• Assess performance and provide feedback during reviews.
• Motivate associates to build brand loyalty and drive store profitability.
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and maintain brand standards.
• Represent the company professionally and positively.
• Support management to maximize productivity through knowledge and teamwork.
• Participate in Leader on Duty program and payroll processing.
• Modify schedules based on business needs.
• Maintain clean, organized stockroom and ensure CRE standards and safety.
