Job summary

Walgreens in Batavia, IL is hiring a Store Key Holder to open and close the store when management isn’t present, perform required system start-ups, cash handling, and ensure the floor and stock rooms are ready for business. You will engage customers, resolve questions, process returns and refunds, and support pricing, inventory, and displays as needed.

The role involves assisting with vendor deliveries, basic bookkeeping tasks, and maintaining store systems knowledge to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of store management and handles required system start-ups and cash handling.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe and provides change to cash registers.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
