Job summary

Safeway in Livermore, CA seeks a Third Person in Charge to oversee total store operations when senior leadership is unavailable. The role emphasizes staff supervision, customer service excellence, and coordination with late shifts to ensure daily objectives are met.

The position supports merchandising execution and training of new employees, with opportunities for advancement within Albertsons Companies’ store leadership development tracks.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to supervise and develop staff.
• Strong understanding of store operations and customer service policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Works primarily closing shifts to run total store operations in the absence of the Store Director and Assistant Store Director.
• Coordinates with late shift employees/department leads to plan, organize and direct day-to-day operations.
• Trains Head Clerks and PICs for possible promotion to Third Person in Charge.
• Assists with merchandising, pricing, stock, and display planning to meet store goals.
