Job summary

Dollar General is looking for a dedicated Cashier/Stocker who can also act as a lead in the absence of store management. You will help set and maintain plan-o-grams, assist customers, ring up purchases, and keep the store clean and safe while protecting company assets.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, stocking, processing shipments, and maintaining a high level of customer service. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on profitability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.
• Familiarity with safety policies and practices.
• Strong communication, both oral and written.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise, build displays.
• Process shipments, receive and unpack cartons and totes.
• Restock, rotate, and face merchandise on shelves.
• Assist customers locating products and answer questions.
• Maintain register area, bagging, and basic plan-o-gram setup.
• Handle payments, give change, and run the cash register.
• Keep store clean, safe, and organized; support team.
• Open/close store per Area Manager directions.
