Dollar General Corporation is seeking a reliable Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of store management. The role emphasizes customer service, merchandise stocking, and cashier responsibilities in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will unload trucks, manage plan-o-grams, assist customers, maintain cleanliness, and help drive store profitability while protecting assets. Evening and weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsabilités

• Unload trucks per store procedures.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock merchandise and build displays; rotate and face items.
• Restock returned merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipments as directed by Store Manager.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise.
• Clean store, restock, and maintain safety.
• Operate cash register and bag merchandise; handle payments and change.
• Greet customers and provide superior customer service.
• Open/close store under Area Manager direction.
