Dollar General Corporation is hiring a Cashier/Stocker to support store operations and serve customers. In the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager, you may act in a lead capacity and assist in maintaining plan‑o‑grams and merchandising programs.

You will unload trucks, stock shelves, assist customers, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, safe store environment while protecting company assets.

Competenze

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety policies and practices.
• Effective interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

• Unload trucks according to store procedures.
• Stock, rotate, and face merchandise; build displays.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and total purchases.
• Collect payment and make change; bag merchandise.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized store environment.
• Open/close the store under direction of Area Manager.
