Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and rotate merchandise, and support the Store Manager.

In this lead role, you will greet customers, provide service leadership, follow safety policies, and help open/close the store. The position requires a high school diploma and some supervisory experience.

• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer service; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, itemize purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; build displays; follow planograms.
• Clean the store; manage trash; dust and mop floors; clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction.
• Perform duties of Store Manager in their absence.
