Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, customer-first store. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and support store management in daily operations.

This role involves leading in the absence of the Store Manager and ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least six months of supervisory or related experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Ability to operate a cash register.
• Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank to deposit money.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, and bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves; build displays.
• Clean the store and assist with sidewalk displays.
• Assist in planogram implementation and maintenance.
• Open and close the store per Store Manager directions.
• Perform duties in absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
