Job summary

Dollar General Leads Sales Associate role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, operating the cash register, and maintaining organized store conditions. You will support merchandising, assist customers, and lead by example in the absence of store leadership.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, processing transactions, stocking shelves, and upholding safety and planogram standards in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to operate cash register and process transactions accurately.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandising guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise, rotate displays, and assist with merchandising plans.
• Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restrooms and stockroom.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
