Job summary

This role assists customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operates a cash register, stocks and recovers merchandise, cleans the store, and performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.
• Ability to operate a cash register and process transactions.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposits.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise and rotate on shelves; build displays per planograms.
• Clean the store, take out trash, mop floors, and prepare sidewalk displays.
• Open and close the store under Store Manager direction; perform duties in their absence.
