Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Toledo, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, customer–focused store. Under the Store Manager's direction, you'll supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, payroll paperwork, and deposits, while supporting profitability and asset protection.

This role requires hands-on leadership, scheduling, training, planogram execution, and ensuring safety compliance. You will step in for the Store Manager as needed and promote excellent service.

Qualifications

• Ability to read diagrams, safety rules and procedures.
• Numerical aptitude for calculations and percentage changes.
• Experience with cash handling and deposit procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open/close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise receiving, stocking, restocking and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages and markdowns.
• Execute planograms and ensure proper product presentation.
• Ensure cash handling integrity, deposits, and refunds are handled properly.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager's absence.
