Job summary

The Children’s Place is seeking a Store Lead in Scranton, PA to support the Store Leadership Team with cash-wrap operations, opening/closing procedures, and Leader on Duty responsibilities. The role focuses on delivering brand-aligned service, coaching associates, and maintaining store standards to drive profitability.

You will engage customers, train staff, and participate in scheduling, payroll processing, and loss-prevention initiatives while representing the brand with professionalism.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of retail experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn internal applications and policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing talent through training of associates and in-the-moment coaching.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to address performance concerns.
• Support company training and development initiatives.
• Maintain a positive work environment and provide timely feedback.
• Assess performance and provide feedback during reviews.
• Motivate associates to build brand loyalty and a positive store environment.
• Model exceptional customer service and uphold brand standards on the sales floor.
• Represent the company professionally and support store profitability via operational know-how.
• Lead the Leader on Duty program by delivering outstanding customer experiences and managing payroll.
• Process payroll weekly and adjust schedules as needed.
• Keep stockroom organized and compliant with policies.
• Ensure CRE standards and safety requirements are met.
