Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker with lead capacity in the absence of store leadership. You will manage cash handling, help implement plan-o-grams, and deliver exceptional customer service while protecting assets and supporting store profitability.

The role involves stocking, unloading trucks, assisting customers, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Strong teamwork and communication are essential in this full-time position in Ohio.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and cash handling procedures.
• Understanding of plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks according to the prescribed store process.
• Receive, open, and unpack cartons and totes.
• Stock, rotate, face, and build merchandise displays.
• Restock returned and recovered merchandise.
• Order zones and drop shipment categories per Store Manager instructions.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Assist customers by locating merchandise.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, including front-end area.
