Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Loveland, OH seeks a Lead Sales Associate to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers in locating and purchasing merchandise, operate a cash register, stock and recover merchandise, and support the Store Manager.

In the absence of management you will lead operations, open/close the store, execute planograms, and help maximize profitability while protecting assets in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow planograms.
• Ability to perform cash register tasks and basic math.
• Knowledge of safety and cash handling policies.
• Ability to drive own vehicle to bank deposits.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register, total purchases, collect payment and give change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate, and build displays.
• Clean the store; maintain restroom and stockroom cleanliness.
• Open and close the store under direction of the Store Manager.
• Perform duties of Sales Associate in the absence of management.
