Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a Cashier/Stocker to lead in the absence of Store Manager, handle plan-o-gram duties, and deliver outstanding customer service. You will unload trucks, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, organized store while protecting assets.

The role emphasizes cash handling, accountablity, and teamwork across daily operations. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with supervisory exposure, and offers opportunities to contribute to store

Qualifications

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and total customer's purchase; bag merchandise.
• Stock merchandise and maintain displays; assist in unpacking trucks.
• Assist in plan-o-gram implementation and maintenance.
• Provide exemplary customer service leadership and greet customers entering the store.
• Open and/or close the store under direction of the Area Manager.
