Job summary

Dollar General in Altoona, PA seeks a Lead Sales Associate to maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. You will assist customers, operate the cash register, stock merchandise, and help prevent losses while supporting the Store Manager in daily operations.

As the lead in the absence of the Store Manager, you will train teammates, implement planograms, open and close the store, and perform duties to maximize profitability and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of supervisory experience (or related experience/training) preferred.
• Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides.
• Ability to perform cash register functions and mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers.
• Operate cash register and scanner to itemize and total customer's purchase, collect payment and provide change.
• Stock merchandise, restock and rotate on shelves, and build displays.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms.
