Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is hiring for a role that combines cashiering, stocking, and leadership duties in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help set up floor plans, manage merchandise, and provide exceptional customer service while protecting assets.

The position requires basic math, cash handling accuracy, and frontline supervision when managers are away. You will work to keep the store clean, safe, and efficiently run, with a focus on teamwork and sales.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate cash register functions.
• Familiarity with safety and loss-prevention practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and process cartons according to store procedures.
• Stock, rotate and Face merchandise; build displays.
• Restock returned/recovered items and manage inventory flows.
• Assist customers in locating items and provide care to shoppers.
• Operate cash register, handle payments and bag merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of store front and stockroom.
• Lead in the absence of store management and ensure security procedures.
