Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store HR Representative to provide HR support to store leadership, guiding staffing, onboarding and employee relations. You will collaborate with leadership and the HR team to drive engagement, retention and policy adherence across stores in our Michigan footprint.

The role emphasizes communication, development planning, and effective handling of talent processes, with opportunities to contribute to earnings and team growth in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalency required.
• Associate Degree or above in Human Resources preferred.
• Ability to present thought leadership and leadership presence.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication for varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Assist staffing and interview process for leadership and non-leadership roles; manage applications.
• Oversee onboarding and training to drive engagement and retention.
• Champion engagement through HR initiatives and effective communication across team.
• Support leadership with talent management, development, and total rewards processes.
• Provide guidance on career development resources and development plans.
• Offer consultation to leadership on employee relations and policy matters.
• Assist with investigation and resolution of employee complaints or policy violations.
• Partner with HR Market Managers on projects and administrative duties.
