Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store HR Representative to provide comprehensive HR support to store leadership, including staffing, onboarding, and employee relations. You will partner with the HR team to drive engagement, retention, and development initiatives across the store.

The role requires strong communication, leadership presence, and the ability to plan and execute HR processes with accuracy and empathy. Flexibility in schedule and a proactive, independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher in HR preferred
• Ability to present thought leadership, leadership presence, and be approachable
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to facilitate groups and presentations; run meetings
• Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization
• High energy and adaptability; schedule flexibility as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to store leadership on staffing, workforce planning, training and development
• Guide onboarding, retention, and employee relations within the store
• Support compensation, policy, and total rewards initiatives in collaboration with HR leadership
• Run reports and track development plans, talent profiles, and training completion
• Consult leaders on career development resources and performance management
• Partner with HR Market Manager on investigations and employee relations actions
• Assist with projects and serve as a business partner on HR processes
