Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Store HR Representative in Michigan to provide HR support to store leadership, guide staffing and onboarding, and advise on employee relations, compensation and policies.

You will partner with regional HR to drive HR goals, deliver training, and promote engagement across teams. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and planning skills, with a focus on confidentiality, trust, and building positive relationships across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalency required.
• Associate degree or above in Human Resources preferred.
• Ability to present thought leadership and be approachable.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staffing, interviewing and selection for store roles and manage applications.
• Oversee orientation, onboarding and training to drive engagement and retention.
• Lead engagement initiatives across HR programs and communicate with store teams.
• Ensure effective communication to all team members and support leadership.
• Participate in talent management, development, and total rewards processes.
• Provide guidance to leadership on career development resources and progress tracking.
