Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Store HR Representative to provide HR support to store leadership, coaching and guidance on HR topics including staffing, onboarding, development and total rewards. You will partner with store leadership and regional HR to drive HR goals.

You will assist with staffing, onboarding, training and engagement initiatives, while guiding leaders on career development resources and maintaining confidentiality and trust across the team.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalency required. Associate Degree or above in Human Resources preferred.
• Ability to present thought leadership, demonstrate leadership presence, and be approachable.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to listen attentively and actively.
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written as well as the ability to facilitate both small and large groups in a variety of forums including formal presentations, working meetings and discussions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with staffing, interview and selection for leadership and non-leadership roles and manage the applicant tracking system.
• Oversee orientation, onboarding and training to drive engagement and retention.
• Champion engagement through mTeam, mCulture, mPerformance and other HR initiatives.
• Ensure effective communication to all team members and follow up with leadership.
• Assist in reporting and analysis related to talent management, development, acquisition and total rewards processes.
• Provide guidance to leadership on career development resources and track development plans and goals.
• Provide consultation to leadership on employee relations, dispute resolution, discipline and EEO matters.
• Assist with investigation and resolution of employee complaints or policy violations.
• Provide HR policy and payroll/benefits guidance and support for talent development initiatives.
• Support HR Market Managers with projects as needed.
• This profile may include other administrative duties as assigned.
