Job summary

Meijer in Ohio seeks a Store HR Representative to provide HR support to store leadership, coaching on staffing, onboarding, employee relations and total rewards. The role emphasizes confidentiality, communication, and partnership with leadership to meet HR goals.

You will partner with the HR Market Manager on talent development, recruitment, and reporting, while guiding career growth and maintaining strong relationships across all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalency required; Associate Degree or above in Human Resources preferred.
• Ability to present thought leadership and be approachable
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Strong planning, organizational and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills for formal presentations and group discussions
• Ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate confidentiality and trust in handling sensitive HR matters

Responsibilities

• Assist staffing, interview and selection process for store roles and manage applicant tracking.
• Oversee onboarding and training to drive engagement and retention.
• Champions engagement through mTeam, mCulture, mPerformance and other HR initiatives.
• Ensure effective communication to all team members and leaders.
• Provide reports and follow up on talent development, acquisition, and total rewards processes.
• Guide leadership on career development resources and individual development plans.
• Support HR Market Managers with projects as needed.
• May perform other administrative duties as assigned.
