Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead a store team toward delivering a profitable business plan and achieving all key metrics. You will translate brand vision into in-store action, drive sales growth, and coach staff to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

You will oversee Customer Operations, Merchandising, Product Operations, and talent development while ensuring compliance and fostering an inclusive environment. The role requires strong leadership and strategic execution.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience leading others.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Willingness to travel and flexible schedule as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results, identifies opportunities and makes decisions with the leadership team to drive KPIs.
• Forecasts and schedules to drive profitable sales.
• Manages store budget for daily operations in support of the P&L.
• Builds highly productive teams through sourcing, selecting and developing people.
• Coaches and provides feedback to improve team performance.
• Teaches and trains to build capabilities.
• Leads the implementation and execution of all Standard Operating Procedures and initiatives.
• Creates an inclusive environment.
• Maximizes efficiencies and productivity through action plans.
• Performs Service Leader duties.
• Represents the brand and understands the competitors.
• Promotes community involvement.
• Leverages OMNI to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensures all compliance standards are met.
