Job summary

Gap is seeking a General Manager in Bridgewater Township, NJ to lead a team and drive a profitable store business plan. You will ensure the store hits metrics, translate brand vision into store reality, and drive profitable sales across operations, merchandising, product operations and talent development.

The role requires 3-5 years of retail leadership, strong communication, and the ability to coach teams to deliver a best-in-class customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of retail experience leading others.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.
• College degree preferred.
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor, stock room, and office; lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible schedule, including travel, to meet the needs of the business including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Strong planning and prioritization skills.

• Ensures store meets key metrics and goals.
• Drives profitable sales growth across Customer Operations, Merchandising, Product Operations and talent development.

• Manages store budget and daily operations to support P&L.
• Develops highly productive teams through sourcing and development of people.
• Leads SOPs and initiatives and ensures compliance.
• Represents the brand and understands competitors; promotes community involvement.
