Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a General Manager in Paramus, NJ to lead store teams and deliver a profitable business plan. You will ensure the store meets key metrics, coach staff, and align operations with the brand vision to create an exceptional customer experience.

You will drive sales through forecasting, scheduling, and budget management while building capable teams and maintaining a strong, inclusive store culture. The role requires flexibility for travel and shift coverage.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience leading others.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers and employees.
• Ability to travel as required.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results and collaborates with leadership to drive KPIs.
• Forecasts and schedules to drive profitable sales.
• Manages store budget for daily operations in support of the P&L.
• Builds productive teams through sourcing, selecting and developing people.
• Coaches and provides feedback to improve performance.
• Trains to build capabilities and implement SOPs.
• Leads Omni-channel initiatives to create a frictionless customer experience.
