Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a General Manager to lead a store team and deliver a profitable business plan, driving customer experience, operations, and talent development.

You will coach staff, manage scheduling, forecasting, budget, and SOPs while creating an inclusive environment and representing the brand to the community. The role requires 3–5 years of retail leadership, a college degree or equivalent, strong communication and planning skills, and willingness to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of retail experience leading others.
• College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and move around sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes results, identifies opportunities and drives KPIs with leadership.
• Forecasts and schedules to drive profitable sales.
• Manages store budget for daily operations in support of the P&L.
• Builds productive teams through sourcing, selecting and developing people.
• Coaches and provides feedback to improve performance.

• Leads implementation of SOPs and initiatives.
• Creates an inclusive environment.
• Maximizes efficiencies and productivity.
• Performs Service Leader duties.
• Represents the brand and understands competitors.
• Promotes community involvement.
• Leverages OMNI to deliver a frictionless customer experience.
• Ensures all compliance standards are met.
