Job summary

Office Depot Office Max is seeking a General Manager to drive total sales, services, and store profitability while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will own training, talent development, succession planning, and coaching to create a client-first environment.

You will also lead hiring, merchandising, operations, and adherence to company standards, while actively engaging with the local SMB community and hosting in-store events to strengthen client relationships and brand loyalty.

Qualifications

• Proven people-management abilities and leadership skills.
• Strong planning, prioritization and execution in a fast-changing environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lead, coach and influence at all levels and work independently or in a team.
• Proficient with store technology and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Grow total sales and services within the location.
• Own sales performance, identify sales opportunities, and drive profitability.
• Develop store strategies and tactics to achieve sales and operational goals.
• Lead associate training, development, and succession planning.
• Engage with the local community and host in-store events to build client relationships and brand awareness.
• Hire, merchandise, and execute store standards; manage associate performance and workplace culture.
