Job summary

Office Depot Office Max is seeking a General Manager to grow total sales, services, and the customer experience at the location. The GM will own sales performance, develop store strategies, and drive profitability while ensuring a top-tier customer experience.

The role includes training and development of associates, talent assessment, coaching, and succession planning; actively engaging with the local community and hosting in-store SMB events to build loyalty.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
• 2–4 years of management experience.
• Strong business acumen and sound judgment.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to lead, coach, and influence at all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills in a fast-changing environment.
• Proficient with computers and POS systems for accessing and processing information and merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Grow total sales and services within the location.
• Own sales performance, identify opportunities, and drive profitability.
• Develop overall store strategies and tactics to achieve sales results and goals.
