Job summary

Office Depot OfficeMax is seeking a General Manager to drive store performance, sales and customer experience. You will own associate training, development, and succession planning while leading a high‑performing team to deliver results.

You will manage hiring, merchandising, operations, and execution of standards, resolving staff and customer concerns, and partnering with cross‑functional teams. A strong leadership presence is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of management experience or equivalent through internal development program
• Strong business acumen and sound judgment with proven people-management abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lead, coach, and positively influence at all levels in a fast-changing environment
• Proficiency with computers and retail technology to access and process information

Responsibilities

• Grow total sales and services within the location
• Own associate training and development and succession planning
• Hire, merchandise, operations, and execution of store standards
• Resolve associate and customer relations concerns and partner with business partners
