Job summary

Dollar General in Allentown seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, well-organized store with a customer-first focus. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, deposits, and cash control while protecting assets and reducing losses.

You will also train, schedule, and lead safety meetings, maintain inventory, and support store operations in the manager's absence. High school diploma and retail supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling employees and training.
• Manage merchandise, planograms, and displays per policy.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and manage deposits and cash control.
• Assist in store management in the Store Manager’s absence.
