Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a clean, organized store focused on customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will supervise staff, manage merchandise presentation, handle deposits, and support inventory control and cash procedures.

Responsibilities include scheduling, training, safety meetings, planograms, and ensuring adherence to policies. This role involves stocking, cashier duties, and occasional bank deposits to protect assets

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year in retail and 6 months supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to manage cash handling and deposit procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet and assist customers and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise Receiving, stocking, rotation and planograms.
• Maintain accurate inventory; control damages and markdowns; conduct deposits.
• Ensure financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash controls.
• Assist in store management during Store Manager's absence.
